Love

A stranger’s kind smile and helping hand

A friendship of tears and laughter sealed

The faith that one could give his native land

To give Him all of you, to humbly yield

Hi! Hello!

When someone greets us “Hi!” or “Hello!” we feel the excitement or the joy of the other person to see us. They are glad to see us though they are rushing to finish their business. A simple “Hi!” or “Hello!” opens a wide door for the person who greets and who is greeted. Those whom we meet in certain instances like someone asking for directions, or a person we don’t know by name yet has familiar face, or a classmate whom we beg for sheets of paper. It’s funny to think that a friendship will be sparked this way. Yes, it can happen. With these, the shame of knowing one’s name is gone. Say those precious words, then, a true friendship can flicker. This relationship may grow as if you were real brothers and sisters. Hi’s and Hello’s can give the friendship you wanted, the respect you needed, and the love you longed for.

Imprudence

I was halfway to our school when this lady in her mid-40’s rode the jeepney. She was well-dressed, had fine make-up and was carrying a handbag. I supposed she was a government employee or a high school teacher. She paid a peso bill and upon receiving her change, the lady cautiously counted every cent and afterwards told the driver in a hightone, “Ma, kulang ng singkwenta sentimos yung sukli nyo.” Each passenger’s attention had been caught then she continued, “Siguro, totoo nga yung sabi nila na lima ang asawa nyong mga driver, grabe kayo kung makasingil.” The humiliated driver did not react but in return, gave the woman the 50 cents she’d been nagging for.
There are times we act incautiously. We do anything and everything we want without taking into consideration the thought of getting others offended. And more often, we say every word that comes into our mid without thinking twice if we would insult any person concerned. Imprudence, This is one of the manners that we strongly condemn but we still unconsciously commit.
Nevertheless, when you catch yourself too tempted to let go of the unkind words you have been keeping toward a person, take deep breath. Although I’ve not tried this yet, deep breathing is what I often see in different movies when the protagonists were caught in the same situation or you might as well think of yourself in the position of the other person involved. Be sensitive to other people’s feelings. Try to talk to the person calmly and finally, as much as possible, plant kind words so that in return, you’ll reap kind ones in due time.

Mistakes

Whatever mistakes we have made,

Our only way out is to move forward

This is life’s proven formula,

Don’t look back in regret but move on with hope.

I wish you knew my Jesus

I wish you knew my Jesus and
loved him as I do,
For if you knew my Jesus,
Then you would love him too

He gave his life at cavalry,
The sacrifice for you:
If you’ll receive my Jesus,
Then you will love him too
Jeremiah 6-8
Every day we rub shoulders with people who need to accept Jesus as their personal Savior, Let’s ask God to fill us with the longing, “I wish you knew my jesus”. Then we will become instruments in God’s hand to introduce Christ to those who do not know him.

Life can be happier & less stressful

Life can be happier & less stressful if we remember one simple thought:

We can have all that we desire,

but God will give us all that we deserve.
